Practice Philosopy
My aim is for you to experience deep relaxation in an environment which is comfortable for you, and which facilitates profound and lasting personal change. This bodywork can connect you with the person you most want to be, and it is my great pleasure to accompany you on that journey toward greater self-satisfaction.
I perform highly skilled light-touch bodywork which encourages balance within your body and mind. By using a foundation of CranioSacral Therapy, supported by Zero Balancing (an osteopathic technique which balances the bones) and sound therapy techniques, the nervous system and soft tissues can come into a state of balance and deep relaxation. This translates to less pain, more calm, and feeling at ease in one’s life.
I currently specialize in treating TMJ dysfunction, depression, anxiety, and supporting life transition.
After having practiced deep tissue massage and Orthopedic massage over the past 14 years, I found that many times I was only reaching the most superficial level, the physical level of the body. This is many times the last ditch effort for our body to tell us that we need to create change in our life. In many cases, simply adding pressure to a tight spot didn't seem to address the deeper cause. Thus began my journey toward finding Zero Balancing and ultimately CranioSacral Therapy, which now serves as the foundation of my sessions.
In repairing my body after several car accidents, I received bodywork from a physical therapist which changed both my emotional and physical state. I was amazed that this gentle work could help me so deeply. I moved through trauma, frustration and pain, into a calm and pain-free body.
I have repeatedly found that profound work which nurtures both the emotional and physical self does not need to feel painful. In addition, allowing the body into states akin to meditation or twilight, eases and is critical to this process of change. The information is received by the body without resistance and continues its own reorganization, specific to the individual’s system. This process - which directly involves the body’s innate ability to heal - affects deep and lasting change. I want to share that experience with you, so that you can have an experience of bodywork which is both gentle and deeply restorative.
In my practice, I build lasting relationships through mutual trust, clear communication, and a genuine enthusiasm in accompanying you through personal expansion. Together we will clarify your vision of wellness and give it wings to fly.
